Very pleased with the service provided by Finesse. From customer service to end product, Finesse really are an excellent company to work with. I required two replacement sash and case bay windows in my Victorian property - Neil Thain at Finesse was very knowledgeable and advised that the work would be no problem for Finesse. Neil was great at communicating throughout and I'm really pleased with the end product, which is bespoke and excellent quality. The craftsmanship is second to none, and the joiners who fitted the windows were polite and hard working. They took care not to make a big mess and they cleaned up after the work was completed. I'd definitely recommend using Finesse for windows and interiors - they're clearly a very well run company.

Finesse manufactured two new double glazed windows for us to replace our original single glazed sash and case windows. The original windows were over 150 years old and well made with arched tops made, but were drafty. We were not sure that replacement windows could be made to the same standard today but are delighted with our beautiful hardwood windows from Finesse. They look right, fit beautifully and best of all stop the drafts. Neil, Den and team were a pleasure to work with and the fitters were highly skilled, professional, and left our house in immaculate order.

Just had my lovely new French Doors fitted last Friday and I'm really pleased with the quality of work and the installers, Finesse. A beautiful finish incorporating all I wanted, and at a reasonable price, painted white on the inside and stained on the outside. Great workmanship and great attention to detail by the installers. I've waited over 13 years to be able to see out to my garden through clear glass doors, but it's been worth it.

Excellent service throughout the process. Our son had used Finesse recently and we were impressed with both the quality and service that he received. We ordered 8 replacement windows and from the initial visit from Neil his advice was first class. A further visit from Den to measure up provided the reassurance that we needed. The fitting team of 4 arrived early on Wednesday 18th October which was the day before the recent storm. The guys managed to get the 8 windows out and got the new windows installed in a day, so we were wind and water tight by tea time. The following day they returned to work on the inside. They then returned to finish off the cementing and sealing. Throughout the process we were kept fully informed and the fitting crew worked tirelessly, sometimes in very poor weather conditions to complete the installation. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the fitting crew throughout plus the quality of the windows and the work carried out. We would recommend this local company to anyone requiring windows.

The team arrived exactly when promised, were courteous, respectful, friendly and efficient. Took much less time than we anticipated and at the end of each day the place was left clean and tidy. The new windows look amazing and we could not be happier.

I cannot recommend Finesse highly enough. They replaced our main entrance door to our office with a new secure glass door. The quality of the doors and the professional installation by them were first class. The new doors reduces the noise from the main road quite substantially and we have noticed a big difference with heat retention.

I'm delighted with the new rooflight. All involved worked quickly and efficiently and I'm extremely happy with the finished work.

We decided to replace our main front door which had stood the test of time in an ultra exposed position for over 100 years. After extensive investigation we asked Finesse to make a bespoke unit in Accoya. We chose this as it is a dense, stable, rot resistant timber with a 50 year warranty for above ground use. Finesse sourced the Accoya, constructed the door, spray painted it & fitted it all within the quoted timeframe. So far we are delighted with both Finesse and the performance of the door, and have had Finesse undertake some other repairs from sunroom doors to window sills using Accoya wood.

Would recommend Finesse without a doubt. Service from Neil from start to finish was excellent. Fitted 11 new windows and French doors by Donny and his team within 3 days and did finishing on day 4 and this was including extra supports fitted as they were replacing wooden ones. This was after CR Smith and SRJ window companies wouldn't do them even after getting an engineers report. These companies put in a frame and not individual windows hence they wouldn't take the risk.
Would have no hesitation in recommending Finesse for quality and service. Well done to you all.

I first heard of Finesse last year by putting a card through a stranger's letterbox. Her front door had the style and impact I was looking for.
I cannot express how delighted I am now our new double doors and wooden gates are installed.
The impact of the door design is stunning, the security is great and the bonus is they look beautiful from the inside as well. Neil not only agreed to make wooden gates and fences further down the line, as we were having the door done, they were supplied and fitted at the same time as the door.
The whole team are very professional, friendly and clearly understand the brief completely.
So my advice is get yourself on the list and don't compromise on an alternative product!

We instructed Finesse in October 2021 to install five new casement windows in our property. Whilst the job has only just been completed this is by no means a criticism of the firm, being made fully aware of supply issues and other delays caused by covid. Neil kept us informed throughout and once we were advised that the wood was in stock the job was completed within six weeks. The standard of workmanship, the fitting and finishings are all superb and the tidiness and politeness of the workmen is to be applauded. We would and will strongly recommend this firm to others. We chose Finesse to do our upstairs dormer windows for our listed house as we had been so impressed with downstairs windows they replaced several years ago. They have been very patient with installation delays due to Covid, and the build quality and finish of the windows is exceptional. The teams of joiners are very skilled and hard working, even in the freezing rain, and always tidied up inside and out at the end of every day. You wouldn't know they had been in the house, and Neil always kept us in the loop! We're delighted with the end result, and the house is warmer and quieter. Finesse did a wonderful job rebuilding our cottage virtually from a shell to completion over the COVID lockdowns.
They were friendly, efficient and their workmanship was of a very high standard.
I recently contacted them regarding a minor snag regarding the back door about a year after completion.
They were working locally and came around that same afternoon and sorted the door which is now working perfectly.

Finesse installed new windows and doors for us some years ago, and having done an excellent job at the time we had no hesitation in calling them back when wear and tear caused a problem with the door handle. Neil and his team responded quickly and in a professional manner and resolved the problem in no time. Would certainly recommend Finesse.

Had a first class service leading up to the windows being installed and after. Guys turned up on time and had the old windows out and new ones installed in a day. Day 2 completed all interior joinery and Day 3 all the outside work was completed. Went with the Oak interior wood which was well worth it, beautiful finish all the oak varnished with no further work required, Got new pvc surrounds on the bathroom which was also finished to a high standard. Our personal favourite is our new back door - really well fitted and looked amazing compared to our old one. The icing on the cake was that all the windows and door were cleaned inside and out on completion. First class job Neil, and thanks to all concerned who were involved.

We had all our windows and doors replaced by Finesse around 9 years ago. When renovating our kitchen recently a leak caused by the back door was discovered. True to their word Finesse replaced our back door as per their 10 year guarantee. We are extremely impressed by their customer care and have no hesitation recommending.

Upgraded our previous cheap and flimsy pvc storm door with a handmade solid mahogany door from Finesse. Workmanship is top notch and amazing value, instillation was fast, and workmen tidy and friendly. I would highly recommend paying the extra for a hardwood door from Finesse as the fit and finish is far superior to PVC or composite option.

I used Finesse initially to replace my front door. They did such a great job that I asked them to replace 7 windows as well. I was delighted by the quality and detail of their work. I contacted Neil at Finesse after being let down by another company. He came out very quickly and gave me a very competitive quote. There was a slight delay due to Covid but the communication was excellent throughput and once the door and windows arrived they were fitted promptly. My window had lost its vacuum so asked Finesse for a quote, they measured window and gave me a very reasonable quote. New double glazing came in less than 2 weeks, fitted this morning in less than 40 minutes and window was all cleaned inside and out. I was recommended Finesses by a couple of different friends. I live in Alloa and thought it might too far for Finesse in Kirkcaldy to travel but it wasn't an Issue. Neil came out and discussed sash windows, he then contacted me next day with a very detailed quote. Decided I wanted to go ahead with Finesse then 4 months later my new Timber Sash windows were installed. I am absolutely delighted with them, they look beautiful just like the old ones and keep out all the draughts. Defiantly worth waiting on. The guys were very professional and did an excellent job. This was the third time we had used Finesse to replace doors and windows. The work is always absolutely first class. Neil and his staff have done work for my family for a long time. First job was over 25 years ago replacing the windows and doors and in the last few years they have done a lot of work on our house, which included replacing windows and doors again as well as building an extension. High quality work and left everything spotless. The most recent job was just a week ago where they replaced a window that was accidentally broken during lock down and only charge for the window panel. I used Finesse to replace old sash & case bay windows. Living in one of Edinburgh's conservation areas, I required like for like replacements i.e. wood framed sash & case.
I had also had other windows replaced (before finding Finesse), and Den assured me that their windows would match my other ones, which they do - in style and finish.
The fitting team were well presented, polite and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. They also put my blinds back up once the windows were in.
Being double glazed units the difference in sound and heat insulation compared to the old single glazed units is instantly noticeable.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neil, Den and the team at Finesse to anyone - excellent service and a great product.

We had a sunroom extension built 9 years ago to our older cottage which is right on the sea. Finesse made a great job of the initial build.
Neil gave us great advice when building it to help it blend in with the rest of our house. We have wooden bifold doors which make the most of our beautiful situation. We live right by the sea but the sunroom has been robust and has added greatly to our enjoyment of our situation.
We were so pleased that when we wanted to put in a downstairs shower room we contacted Finesse again . Once again a great job was done.
What really gives me confidence in Finesse is the after care. . Neil has good tradesmen that work for him . Recently I needed to contact Neil as the bi fold doors needed adjusting. He sent a lovely young Joiner who was an apprentice when the shower room was being built. He is now a very competent joiner who had the bifold doors adjusted and working as well as they ever had.
It's great to see young tradesmen taking a pride in the job they do.

I contacted Finesse due to my bathroom window lock braking.
It was this company Finesse, who fitted my windows, however this was well over 10 years ago. They promptly contacted me, arranging a time to repair the lock. This was done quickly and efficiently by Jamie who to my surprise also repaired my front door on his way out, which was sticking.
Neil the manager has done this service free of charge, I can only thank you for being so kind as there are not many people around who give this service these days.

The Finesse team have just finished a conversion of our garage roof space and an unused bedroom into a master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite shower room. From the beginning of the process Neil provided no nonsense guidance and was open to different concepts of how the work could be undertaken. Through the execution phase I cannot fault any to the team. Every tradesman was at the top of their game and produced a living area to the highest standards for us that has transformed our house. The care and attention to detail given by each trade was impressive, always polite and they always cleaned up the working areas with any rubbish removed every day. This was not a straightforward conversion given the challenges of a split level building and the original plumbing layout. However all issues were overcome to produce an end product that we are extremely pleased with. I would have no hesitation in recommending Neil and his team to anyone looking for a top class contractor at a realistic price.

We've had Finesse do a lot of work on our house over the last year. We live in a period house and had to be very careful with our windows. Given we were replacing over 30 windows we had to make sure we got it right. Visiting the factory to see the wooden sash and case windows combined with the inspections Neil and Den did at the property convinced us they knew what they were doing and the also knew what we wanted. They were the only firm to notice some of the small details with our existing windows. We were convinced the windows would be right and went ahead. Due to the size of the job we split it over two installs, one in the spring and one in the autumn. We have noticed a significant improvement to heat and sound insulation since the work was done and are overall very happy with the windows.

Neil's team undertook the internal modernisation and installation of replacement windows at our flat in St. Andrews. Very happy with the results. Finesse coordinated all trades and delivered excellent results on time and budget. The site was kept clean and tidy and there was minimum inconvenience to our neighbours. It's refreshing & unusual to find this level of service in the building industry. Highly recommended. !

We had our front door installed by Finesse two years ago and were very impressed with the standard. We have therefore just asked them to install a new back door, with car flap. Since we are in an old house, the walls are not level or straight so the job was not as simple as it could have been. But the guys have done a beautiful job. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

The Finesse team did a great job. Our new windows are beautiful and Neil ensured we were happy with every detail. A very minor repair needed a month later was completed quickly and happily--excellent customer service!

My experience with Finesse was they were very professional as well as experts I had velux windows fitted which was done to a very high standard.

Six months, I think, is a reasonable period over which to make an assessment of the success, or otherwise, of having all our windows replaced. The advice and pre-sale information was of the highest standard. The estimate supplied and agreed was maintained. The fitting was undertaken in a timely and extremely professional manner with minimal disruption to our lifestyle and existing decor. The quality of the workmanship and the windows are very apparent and have greatly enhanced our property with the benefits of the heat saving and noise reduction being really appreciated. I have just had virtually every window in my whole house replaced by Finesse Windows and I am absolutely delighted! Neil Thane and his team provided me with a faultless service, an excellent product and significant value for money.
Buying new windows is a big financial outlay and balancing this with quality can be challenging. Like most people, I shopped around and compared every aspect of cost, product, quality and the general feeling of trust. Finesse Windows came out on top in every way and there was no comparison between them and (how do I out this politely) some of the 'chancers' I had provide quotes.
One of the most important decisions I had to make was the type of windows, as I was particularly concerned about my lounge box bay which has many original features. Neil sensed my concern immediately and allayed every fear, whilst I put all my trust in him. This was the correct decision, as the final job is outstanding and almost identical to the original window (albeit brand new and minus the howling gale!).
Neil's team are excellent tradesmen, really tidy workers and a lovely bunch of guys. They worked really hard and were a pleasure to have in my house and I had no hesitation leaving them on their own while I went to work.
I really can't praise Finesse Windows enough and highly recommend them without hesitation.

I would highly recommend Finesse Windows. I had PVC sash and case windows fitted by Neil and his team at Finesse. They are excellent quality and look as good or better than the wooden equivalent, in fact from the outside its difficult to tell if they are wood or PVC. I looked around and Finesse supplied what I thought were the nicest sash and case windows and their price was between 2 other quotes I received, I went with them because of the quality of windows and also for the professional advice and approach from Finesse.

Delighted with the installation of new sash and case double glazed windows.The installation team were very professional and I was impressed with the level of service received from everybody involved. Overall price was slightly higher than other quotes but doubt I would have received as a high a quality finish with all specific deadlines met and any snags dealt with quickly and with no fuss. EXCELLENT service. No matter how small your request is Finesse will deal with it promptly & with ease. I was all over Fife trying to get a spare part for an old window. Finesse were the only ones who managed to solve it & to be honest who actually took an interest, It was small value but this didn't deter them from helping. Very pleased with all work carried out by Finesse - We have used them previously and would use them again in the future. We have just had them replace our old, wood-framed sun lounge windows and door with new, double-glazed, pvc units, custom-made to our exact specification and fully finished inside & out.
The flat roof has been stripped of the existing felt, boards removed, new insulation and new boards fitted with new, maintenance free fibre glass finish roof, glass drips all round and internal box gutter, also sealed up stand against the house.
This has greatly improved the comfort and security of the room, also providing a much improved appearance and outlook.
All work was carried out in a clean, tidy and professional manner and once the work had started it was continuous until finished. Minor snagging items were quickly addressed and attended to afterwards.
All work was discussed and agreed upon before being carried out - a first class job from start to finish well run and organised by Neil, efficiently carried out by his team.

Living in a conservation area, and next door to a listed building, we didn't hold out much hope of being allowed to replace our rapidly deteriorating single glazed timber windows (some of the so called 'big' companies even told us we would have no hope of getting permission).
How lucky I was then to be given a word of mouth recommendation that led to me to visiting Finesse's premises where the owner (Neil) took great pride in showing me their product. I was immediately impressed with his enthusiasm, the quality of the window and the diligence of the workforce making the windows... who as it turns out also fit them on completion.
This led to a visit from Neil where we found that Finesse had completed several similar properties in conservation areas.
I am pleased to say there was none of the hard sell tactics I have had to endure from other companies... we were simply given a breakdown of price per window with a realistic figure attached.
Having thought we could only afford to replace some of our windows we opted to replace all fifteen.
Once permission was granted a date was set, and true to Neil's word, the Finesse workmen arrived on the given day and worked to completion in just one week.
Like the other reviews I was impressed at how the work was carried out... it was clear they all had a pride in their work and their firms reputation.
Despite the major nature of the work there was minor disruption and amazingly very little mess due to them treating our home with the care that I wish all workmen did.
It is some months now since having our windows fitted and Neil has followed up during that time to check that we are happy with the completed project (which of course we are).

Finesse Windows and Interiors Ltd. have done a lot of work for us over the past 15 years: this comprises a bedroom extension, new windows all round the house, a renewed flat roof, replacement hardwood outer doors and a sun room.
